About Me
Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia with over 25 years of experience in the fields of Child Welfare and Mental Health. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Georgia.
I specialize in psychosocial evaluations to assess an individual’s physical, mental/emotional, and social functioning utilizing clinical interviews and various scaling tools. I have completed these assessments and evaluations in a number of settings to include outpatient mental health agencies, DFCS contracted agencies, home health, hospice, insurance (CMO), and medical/residential hospitals. A majority of my clients have been a part of the child welfare system and have experienced considerable trauma in their lives. Many of these youth have also experienced mental health crises resulting in hospitalizations and extended treatment. I have extensive knowledge of family systems, trauma informed care, and the workings of the mental health system in Georgia.
I received specialized Advanced Immigration Evaluation Training through Georgia King, LCSW (The Immigration Evaluation Training Center) and completed the Asylum Medicine Training Initiative Introductory Curriculum (Asylum Medicine Training Initiative 2023) through Physicians for Human Rights.
I currently offer evaluations for the following types of immigration cases: Hardship Waivers (I-601 and I-601A), VAWA and Spousal Abuse, U-Visas, T-Visas, and Asylum.
